Why is there a question mark? As readers, we know that the story never actually ends. Characters live on and stories continue. When the book ends, we just no longer have permission to explore their feelings, actions and surroundings. We've reached the end of this story as well. But what does that mean for my writing development? Is it over?

Not quite. Rather, my writing development is still in progress and its story will continue beyond these chapters. So, here comes the ultimate question: have I found Jo March? Yes, in some ways I have. While I was initially very frustrated by writing, I soon understood its power. Over time, I grew a greater appreciation for it and was able to hone and create my own identity as a writer. I have been inspired to challenge myself and write more. "Jo March" or any aspiring writer has all of these qualities. In total, I have discovered a deeper love for writing that I hadn't known before.

But, in other ways, I am still searching for other parts of her. I am still learning more about my own abilities and testing them. For example, I've never published anything. I've never written a serious poem. Therefore, my quest isn't really over. Yes, this may be a disappointment for you, as the reader. But there are never really clean endings, are there?

"Searching for Jo March" is about finding Jo March but it's also about making peace with the fact that I might always be searching for and discovering different bits and pieces of her.

Thank you for following me in this journey.

The End?
