Given my growing appreciation for words and writing, I began to embrace the idea of taking on challenges. In the past stage, I had defined my writing habits and identity as a writer. Here, I was excited to discover where my writing talents might lie. I pushed myself to not only "think outside of the box" but to completely relinquish the conventional writing standards that may have irked me before. 

 

This stage was defined by the notion of creativity. I exercised my writing muscles in new ways and pushed my boundaries as a writer. I wanted to discover new boundaries and new definitions for my writing abilities. Similar to "Jo", I wanted to be able to find and master a particular type of writing.
